Project: Château Ksara, Solar-Powered Stand-Alone Weather Stations
Service: Solar
Location: Kherbet Kanafer and Mansoura, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon
ClientChâteau Ksara
Status: Completed, 2017

FREE energy designed and installed two solar-powered, stand-alone weather stations for Château Ksara, one of Lebanon’s oldest and best-known wineries, placed across two vineyard fields at Kherbet Kanafer and Mansoura. Built to operate independently through up to three consecutive rainy or cloudy days, each station monitors leaf wetness, soil moisture, rain rate, wind speed, temperature, and humidity, giving the winery’s agronomy team real-time environmental data without relying on grid power in the field.

The stations support more precise vineyard management decisions, from irrigation timing to disease-risk monitoring, in a region where weather variability directly affects grape quality and yield.
