Awarding FREE energy’s second energy audit contract in KSA, our firm was hired by the Royal Commission for Jubail & Younbouh to conduct a level III energy audit for their main headquarters in Riyadh.

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established on 21 September 1975 as an autonomous organization of the Saudi Arabian Government. The Commission is governed by a Board of Directors, and its Chairman reports to the Council of Ministers. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu is a Saudi organization that was established as per a Royal Decree in 1975. Its main objective is the development of the Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities. It was expanded to include Ras Al Khair Industrial City in 2009 and Jazan Economic City in 2015.

Following the facility’s request to decrease their energy consumption and increase their resilience, FREE energy conducted an extensive and detailed analysis of all energy streams in the facility to identify sources of waste in the commercial facility, with the end purpose of energy cost optimization, waste & pollution control by highlighting wastage in the major areas and identifying & relating gaps in energy inputs to production outputs. The energy audit also featured special attention to the analysis of the electrical infrastructure parameters such as voltage imbalance and the analysis of harmonics.

FREE energy completed the energy audit and submitted their results to Royal Commission officially in the first half of 2021; the aim of which was to increase their resilience and competitive edge in a fast-changing world by presenting a strategic plan for potential investments that will help further reduce the marginal energy cost as operations grow in the future. The proposed solutions are able to achieve a total potential savings of around 48%.

FREE energy takes pleasure in providing its services to Royal Commission and to have contributed to adding value to one of Saudi Arabia’s most esteemed institutes.
