In partnership with JGH Solar, FREE energy provides comprehensive operation and maintenance, technical support, and asset management services for large scale renewable energy installations deployed across Africa, Asia, and South America. Acting as technical lead for an international portfolio of humanitarian and critical infrastructure projects, FREE energy manages the full lifecycle of service interventions, from initial service request assessment and remote diagnostics through detailed technical investigation, engineering design, corrective maintenance planning, implementation oversight, and post-intervention performance verification.
The team’s expertise extends to troubleshooting and optimizing large scale battery energy storage systems, hybrid solar PV systems, and microgrids supplying electricity to hospitals, UN compounds, and other mission critical facilities. Each intervention is supported by comprehensive data collection and performance analysis, enabling tailored engineering solutions that restore system reliability while maximizing long term operational performance, with continuous post-implementation monitoring to confirm results hold over time.
FREE energy currently provides technical support and engineering services for several flagship installations, including a 1.00 MWp system at Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Eswatini (1,004.08 kWp of solar PV integrated with 1,459.2 kWh of battery storage), the Godo Holo hybrid microgrid in Suriname (250 kWp of solar PV and 1,059 kWh of battery storage supplying remote communities), and the UN House solar PV system in Guinea-Bissau, where FREE energy manages operations and assisted an expansion that brought total maintained capacity to 203.4 kWp.
Through this integrated service model, FREE energy ensures high system availability, rapid response to operational challenges, optimized asset performance, and long term reliability of renewable energy infrastructure supporting humanitarian organizations and critical public services worldwide.
